Today's dolce vita

My day began early with two hours of reading and writing, then some journaling, and catching up with email messages. No running for at least a week because I aggravated an injury and am feeling it, bummer! Laundry and house cleaning to be followed by a long walk in the woods at City Park with my little mutt who loves to explore. This is her time. Afterwards to the beautiful new XU Tennis Center to watch some of my students play against the number one team, Auburn Montgomery. I have to bring my best cheering spirit to urge them on because they have lost to this team twice already. Then drinks with a friend at Venezia before I return home to grade a few papers and enjoy a delicious red wine, courtesy of my sweet friend Liz for taking care of her dog while she was away this week. This is la dolce vita for today, simple and sweet!
