Last post for a while...

I began my research at the Tulane LAL this week. The first three days have not been as productive in terms of writing but I hope to finish my article during these five weeks and have it ready to submit for publication this fall. This article is actually a chapter for a larger project in 2014, my first book. These first few days have been used mainly to settle in. I met all the librarians, learned where to park and not to park, was issued an online account to access the library's online Catalog, Articles, and Databases list from my own laptop. I also found the perfect desk with ample space to spread out. Yesterday I located the nearest PJ's coffee shop a couple of blocks from the library, and on my first day I met another scholar in residence, a professor of Portuguese Literature from Sao Paulo, Brasil, with whom I am already developing a nice friendship. I am good to go and I am taking a break from blogging and Facebook. I will catch up with you in late August or September. Ciao!
