In Aruba for a few days

My ride to and fro Venezuela and Aruba. It flies low over the Caribbean Sea, what a thrill!

 Happy New Year friends! I am in Aruba again for a few days after spending some time with my family and friends in Venezuela, a country just off the coast of this marvelous island. I posted the pictures of my Venezuela trip on Facebook and will post here some of my pictures from Aruba. In this charming island one hears people speak Dutch, English, Spanish and Papiamento. The last three languages I can handle, but the natives switch back and forth from one language to the next so quickly that navigating such rapid exchange is no small feat at all, but I LOVE languages! It is such an incredible culture and the most wonderful place for young people and older people alike to appreciate a worldview that encompasses the richness of Caribbean, European, and Spanish life and culture all together. Wow, what a fascinating place and the beaches, in my opinion, are the most beautiful of the Caribbean Sea. More pics to come...
