les bons temps roule no matter what!

Had one last party with friends tonight to celebrate the beginning of Epiphany and king's day in the Christian liturgical calendar and to celebrate the gift of friendship and amistad as we begin a new year. This will probably be the last major gathering I host for a while as a new spring semester is upon me.

Thankfully, my syllabi are almost done and writing projects and travel plans are shaping up, but this semester is going to be a very very busy ride until the end. Life gets so hectic and one wonders where does time go? But in this city of ours les bons temps roule no matter what and we march to the beat of that drum. Sadly, the Saints lost tonight, so no more Chickie Wah Wah until next season. Now we look ahead to the busy and fun days of our Mardi Gras season. C’est la vie in this New Orleans!
